This years 3 Days of Design Festival in Copenhagen had the theme "Remember To Play', so here are pieces of lighting and furniture that you can buy to create a playful theme in your home or workspace.

Designed by Charles and Ray Eames The Vitra Hang It All are a modern, playful and fun alternative to coat hooks and designed so that children, and adults, can literally hang it all.

&Tradition Flowerpot light

Designed by Verner Panton, one of Denmark’s more influential designers, known for his futuristic, brightly coloured and playful designs, the &Tradition Flowerpot Light Portable comes straight from 1971, when it was widely used in restaurants and exhibitions, and then people’s homes.

House of Finn Juhl sideboard

Finn Juhl was a highly skilled Danish designer from the 20th century, a true master of sculptural furniture design. The Sideboard was designed in 1955 for Danish manufacturer Bovkirke. It's simple, striking with playful colours from Goethe’s colour wheel.

Gan Mangas rug

Based on a patchwork of different design wool knits, the Gan Mangas rugs and pouffes are fun, contemporary and designed by Spanish designer and architect Patricia Urquiola. These Mini Caramelo rug’s versatile shape and choice of colours are ideal for a multitude of uses.

Vitra Organic Highback chair

Designed in 1940, but not produced until after 1950, the Organic Highback chair is a very comfortable reading and lounge chair. Designed by Charles Eames & Eero Saarinen, the chair is sculptural, curved and designed to totally elevate any space you put it in.

Vitra ESU shelf

ESU Stands for Eames Storage Units. The always playful couple, Charles and Ray Eames, designed a new system of free-standing shelves that could be mass-produced. It’s made in moulded plywood and comes with brightly painted screens. Designed in 1949 this is a recognisable piece of furniture that you will use, love and keep forever.
